Instructions for Authors

Authors are encouraged to submit papers on any topic relevant to the conference. In particular, papers reporting new research results or industry Experience in the topics of genetics and breeding, nutrition and feeding, reproduction, production systems, housing and pollution control, ethnology and welfare, diseases product quality and product marketing.

Abstracts must be submitted on-line and written in English. Abstracts should be prepared according to the following instructions.

F Abstracts should include:

Title . Font type: Times New Roman, bold, size 12.

Author(s). Font type: Times New Roman, capital letters, bold, size 9.

Address author(s). Font type: Times New Roman, bold, size 9.

e-mail address corresponding author. Font type: Times New Roman, bold, size 9. Text (specific information on objectives, experimental methods, statistical analysis, together with a synthesis of the results and conclusions). Font type: Times New Roman, size 9.

Keywords (maximum of 5 keywords). Font type: Times New Roman, size 9.

After you submit your abstract, the system will automatically send you an e-mail indicating a successful submission. If you do not receive this confirmation e-mail, it means the submission did not succeed and you should try again. Submission of printed

abstracts will not be accepted.

Abstracts must be submitted no later than the 30 th of June 2006.

The Scientific Committee will select oral and poster presentations among the abstracts submitted and notify the authors.

Authors who submit an abstract but fail to register for the Conference by June 30 th , 2006 run the risk of having their abstracts withdrawn from the Proceedings.

Oral presentations

Each oral paper will be allocated a specific time to be (20 mints) presented, which will include time for discussion.

¦ Power point projectors will be available upon request during sessions.

 

Poster presentations

Posters will remain exhibited throughout the duration of the conference. There will be time dedicated in the program for poster viewing and discussion with the presenter(s).

Poster board size is (lm X lm) and all materials must fit within this allocated space.

No audiovisual equipment will be provided.

DEADLINES

30 th June 2006 Submission of abstracts (maximum 300 words). 30 st July Papers acceptance and notifying accepted authors by this date.

30 th September 2006 full paper submission and presenting authors registration.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Please read the following instructions carefully before preparing your Abstract:

Authors wishing to give an oral presentation or poster are required to submit an abstract for each proposed presentation in English by 30 th June 2006 Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words. The abstract should be saved on an IBM compatible/PC formatted floppy disk in Microsoft Word for windows format. Papers can be written in word 2000 or XP.

After abstract acceptance and paper submission, authors are kindly requested to send three copies of each paper, keeping in mind that a full paper should not be more than 8-10 pages long. The conference formal page should be in the following page setup:

CONTRIBUTED PAPERS:

Contributed papers containing original scientific research will be accepted. Papers will be sent to referees, who are responsible for their acceptance or review before acceptance. The scientific committee will select contributed papers for theatre or oral presentation. All contributed papers will be published as full papers in the conference book.
